RECLAIM YOUR LIFE.
M e e t p i l a r b o e h m, LCSW
You’re here because the chapter changed, and few people talk about it honestly.
From the outside, people often assume you’re fine. Internally, you might be questioning if you measure up, or wondering if you’ve built a life that others respect.
Things that used to feel easy can feel harder than they used to. Grief and loss show up in unexpected places: children grown, relationships shifting, roles that once defined you no longer fitting the same way. You may be carrying heavy anxiety, or a growing sense of disconnection from a world that keeps rearranging itself.
You are so much more than the thoughts and feelings that cause you pain and hold you back. Relief is possible.
I offer steady, supportive, solution-focused psychotherapy for women moving through identity shifts, career anxiety, grief, relationship loss, empty-nest transitions, and the emotional weight of long-held roles. Sessions are virtual—calm, private, and unhurried.
You don’t need to arrive with a clear plan. You just need a place to begin.
I’m a licensed psychotherapist in Florida. I work with women who feel hijacked by intense emotions and old patterns that keep repeating, and I help them build a steadier day-to-day life. The work is practical and trauma-informed: we use approaches that have research behind them, and we focus on skills you can actually use between sessions—not just talk about later.
About Me
Before private practice, I worked and trained in a lot of different rooms: community clinics, psychiatric hospitals, eating-disorder and addiction programs, and university settings. That mix shaped how I sit with people now. I received my Master of Social Work from Fordham University.
Education & Training
My work is built for change, and we do it together. We name what actually needs to shift, set goals that matter to you, and practice skills until they hold up outside the room—not just while we’re talking.
I believe therapy should equal change.
I am direct and involved. I will listen. I will make space that is safe and without judgment. I will also tell you what I see. If a challenge would serve you, I will offer it. If something hard is sitting in the room, we will go there instead of circling what feels easier. You will have my support. You will also have my honesty.
Therapy is not separate from the rest of your life. Culture, faith, race, body, money, education, the place you live, your health, your relationships, what you have been through, what you are responsible for, and the family that shaped you—all of it informs how you see yourself, how you experience other people, and how you move through the world. That context belongs in the work.
You do not have to edit yourself here. There is no performance. Bring the parts you show everyone and the parts you never do. I will shape the work around who you are, what you have lived, and what you want to change.

Therapy with me is a conversation, not a lecture.
I work with women in midlife and beyond who look capable from the outside and feel quietly unmoored on the inside. For more than ten years, I have sat with clients through identity shifts, career anxiety, grief, changing relationships, and the roles that no longer fit the way they once did.
Therapy with me is a conversation, not a lecture—steady, supportive, and solution-focused. We look at what is actually happening, then decide together what would help. You do not need to arrive with a clear plan. You need a place that is calm enough to tell the truth.
We sit down—by video or phone—and talk about what is actually happening in your life. I will ask questions, notice patterns, and help you name what has been hard to say out loud. Then we decide, together, what we are working toward. The work is guided and purposeful.
A lot of my clients come to session in the middle of a hectic day. They need a room that feels safe and unhurried, even if the rest of the day is not. That is the space I try to hold: open, private, and free of judgment. Many clients are happy to share with me that this is what they remember most—that for that hour, they did not have to perform or explain themselves twice.
Life has its ebbs and flows. You are still the one living it. Sometimes control just needs a little extra support, a clearer plan, and someone in your corner who will not flinch. That is the work.
We’ll dig deep.
We won’t stay on the surface just because it’s more comfortable. We’ll look at what is actually driving the anxiety, the heaviness, the strain at work, or the sense that your life no longer fits. The point is not to analyze you in circles. It is to understand the pattern clearly enough that something can change.

You’re in charge.
This is your hour and your life. I will offer structure, questions, and a point of view—but you set the pace, the focus, and the goals. If a week has been chaotic, we work with that week. If you need to slow down or change direction, we do. Support should never feel like someone else taking the wheel.
I’ll cheer you on.
Change is rarely linear, and I will not pretend it is. I will notice the small shifts, hold the plan when a day gets hard, and remind you of what you have already carried. Encouragement here is not empty praise. It is a steady presence in your corner while you do the work.
