Why Concierge Therapy is a Different Way to Work

I created my concierge psychotherapy practice because I believe therapy works best when it feels personal, accessible, and responsive to the realities of your life. Traditional therapy can sometimes feel confined to a single appointment on a crowded calendar. My approach allows for a greater sense of continuity and connection. I am able to know my clients more deeply and understand not only what happens during a session but what is unfolding in their lives between sessions. That additional access provides an important sense of emotional security. When a client is going through a difficult relationship transition, struggling with anxiety, facing a family crisis, or simply feeling overwhelmed, knowing that there is a therapist who truly knows them and understands the larger context of their life can be enormously comforting.

My concierge practice also allows therapy to be more flexible and responsive. Emotional difficulties rarely arrive at convenient times. A painful conversation with a partner, a conflict with an adult child, a frightening medical situation, or an unexpected loss can quickly activate old emotional patterns. Having greater access to support can help prevent a difficult moment from becoming an emotional spiral. Instead of carrying distress alone until the next scheduled appointment, there can be an opportunity for support and perspective while the experience is still immediate. That continuity can make it easier to think clearly and respond thoughtfully when obstacles arise.

Most importantly, I want therapy to feel like a relationship in which you are genuinely known. My goal is not to create dependence but to help you develop greater confidence in your own emotional resources. The additional support becomes a bridge toward greater resilience, stronger relationships, and a more secure sense of self. Therapy should be a place where you feel understood rather than managed and supported rather than rushed. For many women, there can be something profoundly healing about finally having a space where the focus is entirely on them.

Access: Between our standing appointments, you can call me when something cannot wait. I will get you in as soon as I can — often the same day, and within 24 hours when the calendar is already full. You will not be starting from the beginning with someone who does not know you. It is scheduled time inside the relationship we already have. It is not a crisis line, and I cannot promise that every request is seen today. If you are in danger, call 911 or 988.

Unmatched Convenience: I will work around the life you already have. We can meet at your home, by secure video, or by phone, including in the evening or on a weekend when that is when we can find the time. You should not have to rearrange the whole week just to be seen.

Enhanced Comfort: Engaging in therapeutic work in a familiar, comfortable environment can significantly enhance the process. Meeting at home, or from a private room you already know, can make it easier to stay with what is hard. The room is familiar. The relationship is not starting over. I am already in the work with you.

Concierge is for the woman who wants that room and that access: private care, a clinician who already knows the story, and enough flexibility that the hard hours do not have to be held alone until the next opening.

If what you have been missing is a clinician who stays in it with you — someone you can reach when the week breaks, and a room that does not feel like an office — this is the relationship I built the practice around. We can talk about whether it is the right fit in a consult.
